Text Box: Emergency Planning Classes includes new NOAA/NHC updates for 2011

Continuity of Operations (COOP) and Continuity of Government Planning (COG)
This workshop provides key decision makers the tools necessary to implement, review or update their Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government Plans. As a public agency or non-profit, it is imperative that a plan for continuing operations and government functions be developed prior to an emergency event. It is also key that this plan be an evolving document to facilitate continued operations. Planning includes the identification of essential functions, governing laws, communication methods, succession planning, policies and procedures, essential equipment and records, vendor contracts, alternate locations with equipment needs, schedule for updating and preparation for planning an exercise.

Preparing and Updating Your Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP)
This workshop provides public agencies and non-profits all the tools to identify their potential impacts from unforeseen emergency events and the steps necessary to prepare for and respond to all aspects of emergency events. Key items include the development of a pre-event timeline and checklist for preparation at each timeline target. Duties and responsibilities are identified in a clear and concise manner allowing all employees and elected officials to understand their roles and responsibilities.
